"There are many causes for which I am prepared to die, but none of which I am prepared to kill." I think this is meaningful because: It explains the way Mr. Robert feels about killing and dying, he explains that he is ready to die for his country (He's a Ex-Marine) but he doesn't believe in killing.
I can relate to a lot of Oswald's sarcasm, in real life I'm very sarcastic (Like him) and I know how it feels to have sarcasm come back at you, I also know how Ian feels when you're trying to avoid some one because they re trying to force you into something you don't want to do.
